Hoosier Mania (Without A Basketball)
On December 11, 1816, Indiana became
the 19th U.S. state.
Indiana is home the original March Madness HS Basketball Tourney.
It is home of the Purdue Boilermakers and the fighting Irish
of Notre Dame. It's cap city Indianapolis (aka India-no-place),
hosts of the Super Bowl champs and is the largest city in the
world not on a navigable body of water. Indiana is the home
of the Indy 500 and IU's Little 500. It launched the Miss Nude
America pagent at Naked City. If you can't make a party out
of all this, well damn, neither can we. We suggest you just stay home and watch David Letterman. Maybe he'll have as his guests John Cougar Mellancamp and Micheal Jackson and they can sing "On The Banks Of The Wabash" and "Anything Goes" written by that dapper gay Cole Porter who was played by Kevin Kline in that movie that had no Indiana in it at all. If Letterman has bad guests (not from Indiana) watch the flic Hoosiers, or try the Alternative below.
Drink: A Boilermaker!
Dress: A shirt that was very hip 4 years ago. Too short blue jeans with holes in knees. White socks. Black shoes. You know, like a dweeb from Hoosierland.
Entertainment: Watch the corn grow.
Not Very High: Smoke some wild Indiana hemp which still grows from back when Indiana was the rope-making capital of the universe. Hint: Hemp is a code name for a substance named after after Mary somebody.
